Take Me to the Movies
Join Pastor Bob and Pastor Sylvia (Elmbrook Church) as they lead this class that will walk through movies and apply God's principles against Hollywood's World View. This course will run on Monday nights from 6:30-8 pm from June 7 through June 28 on Zoom. There is no cost for this class.
Worldview and Why our Culture is Unraveling
This class will meet on Sundays from 10:30 - 11:30 am on Zoom. Christianity is in a steep decline and much of it is a worldview issue. Many of those aged 20-35 identify as none religious or done with religion (nones and dones). This phenomenon didn't happen over night. The change was subtle, cultural and spiritual. Join us as we follow the fascinating journey where "religion" was replaced by "spiritual" and truth became unimportant. This is America today, but how did we get to this point? Lets have a conversation each Sunday morning and learn together.
It is never to late to join in!! And Rosemary has a copy of Beginnings for you!
Immerse is built on three core ideas: reading a naturally formatted Bible, reading at length, and having unmediated discussions about it together. By simply reading and then gathering once per week in our “book club” style group, we will have a place to voice our questions, talk about our concerns, and celebrate “aha!” moments together. And better yet, we will learn together how to love God more and live out the bible here and now. We will be reading through Immerse Beginnings, the first five books of the Old Testament, together and it will be life-changing.
This class will meet on Sundays from 2-4 pm at the church. Starting in May, they will be starting a study of Yeshua's central teaching-The Sermon on the Mount. For more info on the study and to find out more about the Torah Club, click here. There is no cost for this study.
The book club meets once every other month to discuss a book and spend some time in fellowship. The next meeting is Wednesday, July 28th at 6 pm. They will be discussing "Life Without Lack, Living in the Fullness of Psalm 23" by Dallas Willard.
