General Announcements Varsity- This morning we should be in Sioux Falls South Dakota. (If we took the right highway!) We are worshipping at Oakwood Park Christian Church, and in much need of rest! Pray for us weary travelers we should be back around 8:00 tonight. Thanks for all your prayers this week! The church directory (addresses & phone numbers) has been updated. Please pick up your copy in the Narthex. If there are any changes or additions, please contact the church office at 884-8512. Calling all young ladies (12-19) to join us for the REVOLVE TOUR in Minneapolis on October 3 – 4, 2008. This is the teen version of Women of Faith tours teaching girls about life, relationships and God. The Friday night and Saturday event includes concerts by AMAZING bands, behind the scenes look at relationships, drama (the good kind), real-life stories and more fun than you can imagine! The tour ticket is $49 per person which will be your commitment deposit for the trip. Payment is due by August 3rd. We will have one night in a hotel and the bus to add to this cost. The hotel will be approximately $31 per person. Cost of the bus to be determined by the number of girls attending. The bus and hotel cost is not due until 2 weeks prior to departure. Bible Reading Marathon – The 6th year for the Bible Reading Marathon begins on Monday, August 18th and ends at noon on Thursday, August 21st at Central Park in Edgerton. I have times for our Church on Monday, August 18th from 12 pm to 4 pm, Tuesday, August 19th from 1 am to 4 am, and Wednesday, August 20th from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. I have slots for timekeeping and registration at the same times. We are collecting food for Edgerton Outreach this year again. I will be available during coffee hour on July 20th and July 27th. Please see Rochelle Millard or call her at 884-8164. Thanks for your help! You’re invited to the Annual Summer Picnic on August 3rd at Ron & Connie Arndt’s home (10325 County Rd M, Evansville). We are not having a worship service at the Arndt’s this year. Both worship services will be held at the church (8 am & 9:30 am). Join us after the 2nd service (approximately 11 am) at the Arndt’s for an afternoon of good company, fellowship & fun. Please bring a dish to pass, your own meat to grill, your own table ware, your lawn chairs, and your swim suits. Hope to see you there! ADULT SINGLES - Upcoming Events July 24 at 6:00 pm: Planning Meeting at the Faith & Destiny bookstore in Janesville. We will be planning for the next few months. Please come with your ideas. Sunday. July 27th: We will be meeting at the Rock County Fair in the afternoon to hear our own Lois Carlson sing. August 1 – 2: Camping & Canoe Trip down the Kickapoo in Ontario.
